Position Title Biology Laboratory Technician I (10 month)
Job Responsibilities The Department of Agricultural and Biological Sciences at Truman State University is seeking candidates for Biology Laboratory Technician I. This is a
ten month , benefits eligible position that works August through May annually.
- Preparation of labs for cell biology, genetics, physiology, and microbiology.
- General laboratory duties including media preparation.
- General laboratory organization, set-up, and take-down.
- Overseeing student workers.
- Communicating with faculty, staff, and students.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to handle multiple and varied tasks.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in biological sciences or a closely related field.
- Two years of responsible experience in a laboratory setting.
- Supervisory experience.
- Work experience in a University or office setting.
