Job Summary:
The Department of Medicine is seeking a provider who is dedicated to delivering empathetic patient care, while playing a pivotal role in improving the overall patient experience through clinical informatics. We seek candidates who are energized by a complex patient population and working on a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. They will also bring their wealth of knowledge to support the departmental informatics needs of support, innovation, EHR optimization, and end-user optimization. Responsibilities: Provide patient care at UW Health approved location(s), as well as clinical and informatics teaching to fellows, residents, medical students, and other learners. Individuals may also be called upon to fill clinical needs at UW Health Urgent Care Centers. The preferred candidate will either have experience teaching and working with a diverse population or will welcome a commitment to teaching and working with a diverse population. They will also have a robust working knowledge of clinical informatics and the ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams for process improvement and implementation. Clinical informatics fellowship or graduate coursework preferred. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Clinical Informatics preferred. License/Certification: Required Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Expectation is to Board Certified within the first two years of appointment. Must be eligible for Wisconsin medical license Work Type: Full or Part Time: 50% - 100% It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Appointment Type, Duration: Ongoing/Renewable Anticipated Begin Date: JULY 20, 2023 Salary: Negotiable ANNUAL (12 months) Salary is negotiable, commensurate with years and diversity of experience.
