Nexmos Design is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Event Coordinator to join our Kansas City team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that reflect our clients' visions while maintaining the quality and standard Nexmos is known for. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, and vendor management
Communicate clearly with clients to understand event goals and expectations
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and creative alignment
Manage budgets, timelines, and on-site operations to ensure seamless delivery
Oversee event setup, breakdown, and troubleshoot on-site issues as they arise
Maintain accurate records of event progress, contracts, and post-event reporting
Source and negotiate with vendors, venues, and service providers
Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and legal regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in event coordination or planning
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
