Job Description The Supervisor reports to the Area Manager. This position provides leadership and guidance to the hourly work force in the manufacture of high quality energetic materials for the Army customer.
- Lead the shift in the manufacture of products to meet quality and delivery schedule requirements in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
- Direct operation/troubleshoot various chemical processing operations within the Modernized NC area.
- Control Room decision maker to guide team responses to upset conditions
- Comply with all expectations given by the department Manager
- Ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
- Responsible for reporting Safety and Environmental incidents immediately after they occur.
- Directing shift work activities of operations personnel to achieve production requirements.
- Communicate with the other Supervisors through face to face and email communications.
- Communicate daily shift meetings on safety, environmental, quality and production issues to wage operators.
- Write service requests and follow up with Maintenance personnel to completion.
- Ensure the next shift is properly manned to support production requirements.
- Start up, monitor and shut down equipment as required.
- Monitor inventory and make decisions to support production needs.
- Interface with Engineering and Controls functions to support operational reliability and continuity
- Verify Time card entries are correct in KRONOS.
- Work with Manager on personnel-disciplinary issues.
- Lead the team by example, be a role model for your group and the area.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills High level of proficiency with Siemens PCS-7 control systems and sequential flow of system commands to include trend analysis, historical data review, and inventory management.
Working knowledge of Dream Report applications.
Exceptional level of technical understanding of Nitrocellulose manufacturing.
Experience with acid mixing, material blending, and batch management.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $73778 - $125422
