Bus Driver Job Description:
We are currently seeking reliable and dedicated Bus Drivers to join our transportation team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers to and from their designated locations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a large passenger bus in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops on a set route
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior
- Perform regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in proper working order
- Keep accurate records of passenger counts and fares collected
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the well-being of passengers and fellow drivers
- Communicate effectively with passengers and provide excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications:
- a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a special endorsement:
You can add the S endorsement to a Class A (with an M restriction), Class B, or Class C (with N restriction) CDL. You can't have an S endorsement without a P endorsement.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to schedules
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road
- Prior experience as a bus driver or in a similar transportation role is preferred
