Salary: 122,200 - 220,900 USD per year Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch Administration
• Direct experience maintaining and integrating Elasticsearch within an operational enterprise information system
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
• Experience with deploying and using Elasticsearch in a Commercial Cloud Platform (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience
• TS/SCI with Poly required for consideration

Responsibilities:

• I will maintain Elasticsearch clusters in a cloud-based environment across multiple availability zones.
• I will ensure that the Elasticsearch clusters continue to run under optimal conditions.
• I will evaluate existing Elasticsearch clusters, configuration parameters, indexing, search and query performance tuning, security, and administration.
• I will maintain appropriate infrastructure to ensure performance and data integrity.
• I will keep Elasticsearch clusters upgraded (as permitted by the applications relying on them).
• I will spin up/customize clusters to meet various development and/or business needs.
• I will optimize indexes to meet business needs (e.g., logging, enterprise search).
• I will troubleshoot various issues with the clusters, from small errors like unassigned shards to automation issues and node/cluster failures.
• I will work closely with architecture, engineering, development, and operations teams to jointly work on key deliverables, ensuring production scalability and stability.
• I will ensure the security of the Elasticsearch cluster.
• I will follow and implement Elastic best practices.
• I will ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting of Elasticsearch.
