Job Description

SUMMARY The Social Videographer for The Palm Beaches will be responsible for creating compelling video content that supports our marketing and brand efforts with a focus on video supporting our social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and any emerging platforms. Reporting to the Director, Social Media & Content, the primary focus of this role will be to handle projects from start to finish, including conceptualizing content, storyboarding, script writing, filming, and editing video content.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create high quality, compelling content to tell stories that resonate with target audiences. Pitch creative video ideas to complement our blog content, social media, and other marketing materials. Understand the differences between producing video for short-form and long-form mediums, including understanding how to entice "scroll stopping" behavior on social media through video. Utilize generative AI for animation and story-telling. Adopt AI-generated voice technology to efficiently produce narration, enabling scalable content production while maintaining a consistent tone and style.  Incorporate AI-generated audio elements, such as ambient sounds and ASMR, to enhance video immersion. Establishes relationships with key stakeholders and community ambassadors across TPB’s 10 key cities and 29 other municipalities to generate destination content Maintains editorial standards, accuracy, and quality for look and feel throughout video content. Assesses the performance of video content pieces by analyzing various video metrics and implementing findings in future projects. Ensure all creative assets fall within our visual brand guidelines. Manage and organize video content in our digital asset management (DAM) tool following best practices for tagging, metadata, folder structure, and version control to ensure efficient retrieval and reuse. Up to 25% travel for on location shoots and event coverage. Collaborate with Agency of Record as needed. Other duties and tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Four-year degree from an academic institution and/or equivalent related work experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in videography, preferably with a social and tourism focus. Portfolio of projects. Demonstrate a healthy balance of creative, editorial, and technical skills. Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro. Must possess a valid drone pilot license and have thorough knowledge of FAA regulations and safe drone operation practices. Experience with audio mixing. Experience with DSLR and iPhone camera operations and lighting. Experience with Apple laptop and macOS. Availability on some nights, weekends, and holidays to cover various events. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Knowledge of offices processes, procedures, and technology, including experience in MS Office products and industry specific software Must be a self-starter; be self-motivated, and able to multi-task Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing conditions and circumstances.
