Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

 

Location- West Greenwich, RI. Must live in a commutable distance.

Qualifications

  • Master/Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of professional development experience.
  • Solid programming experience with one or more of the following languages and technologies: Java (minimum 8), Python, and JavaScript.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing complex software applications that drive business value.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders at all levels.


Knowledge of:

  • Agile development methodologies
  • DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), Jenkins.
  • Cloud platforms, containerization technologies and orchestration tools.
  • GitHub for source control management and code collaboration.
  • SpringFramework and SpringBoot
  • Knowledge of database systems and data structures.
  • RESTful services with experience in integration with UI
  • Understanding of the advantages of and challenges of distributed architecture
  • Implementation of unit and integration tests.


Familiarity with:

  • Kibana and Grafana
  • Queue messaging basics (Kafka preferable)
  • Javascript basics
  • Data security and best practices (for sensitive data)

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795- $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
