Tax Analyst

Note: Must be authorised and willing to work on W2. Can't do C2C or Corp to Corp or 1099.

Location: Lake Mary, FL only, Hybrid onsite 3 days a week - Tuesday thru Thursday.

Hours: 8am - 5pm.

This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of SOX Control Reports for both our regulated and non-regulated entities. This role involves a range of additional activities, including data analysis, account maintenance, and tax reconciliations. This role will also manage Payroll Tax return filings and Annual Assessments as they are released by the state.


In this position you will also:
Review internal SOX Control Reports related to weekly/biweekly payroll processing.
Compile findings for SOX Baseline audits.
Collaborate with ADP and/or taxing jurisdictions to ensure tax filings are submitted according to designated filing timelines (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Work with tax agencies to resolve inquiries pertaining to state and local withholding taxes and assessments.
Analyze state and local tax data and work across finance functions to resolve tax issues promptly.
Support special payroll processing, ie: No split holiday processing.

Must have:
A Bachelor's degree.
Work experience with multi-state and local taxes.
Experience working with state and local jurisdictions.
Knowledgeable navigating 3rd party tax applications, i.e. ADP.
Experience with HRMS and Payroll processing and system applications, PeopleSoft and/or Workday preferred.
Intermediate Excel.

Nice to have:
Understanding of the end-to-end Payroll functional processes as well as how the Payroll functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end Payroll Tax processes.
CPP or FPC.
