Water Resources Engineer (Everett or Wenatchee, WA)

Position: Full-Time

Water Resources Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
Must be experienced with design of water quality and flow control facilities using WWHM and/or MGSFlood.
Must be experienced preparing design plans using Civil 3D for pipe networks and open channel modeling.
Must have the ability to clearly convey information through technical writing.
Stream restoration and fish passage experience desirable.
Candidates with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources are highly desirable.
Two to ten years of Water Resources Engineering experience.
EIT certification with the intent of PE required.


Water Resources Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
Preparing plans, specifications and estimates for a variety of water resources and stream restoration projects using AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation InRoads, and ArcGIS. This includes engineering plans for fish passage and stream restoration projects as well as stormwater mitigation.
Analyzing basin hydrology using WWHM, MGSFlood, USGS Regression and other models.
Hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS and SRH-2D models for streams and culverts.
Pipe and open channel conveyance analysis with InfoSWMM, StormCAD, Stormshed, and other hydraulic models.
Performing site reconnaissance and fluvial geomorphic investigation as part of a diverse stakeholder team.
Preparing technical reports for fish barrier removal for clients and agencies, including WSDOT.
Assisting with and/or coordinating permitting efforts including HPA, JARPA, USACE Nationwide and others.
Providing additional support as needed for utilities, grading and other general Civil Engineering design and documentation.
